DWTS Star: Robert R. Jordan, Jr. 

Robert R. Jordan Jr. is a native of Savannah, Georgia, the husband of his lovely wife, Lesley Michelle Jordan, and the father of three sons: Tristan Nelson Jordan, Grant Monroe Jordan, and Robert Alexander Jordan. Jordan works at Savannah-Chatham County Public School System as a High School Special Education Teacher at the Savannah E-Learning Academy. He is now the Teacher of the Year and was most recently nominated as one of four finalists for District Teacher of the Year for 2024.


Jordan holds both a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master of Social Work, with an emphasis on Clinical Concentration from Savannah State University. He is certified as a Special Education Teacher and School Social Worker in Georgia. Jordan has worked in various capacities for more than 25 years in the social work and education profession, including Social Work Instructor at Savannah State University and working with at-risk youth.


 Among his colleagues, Jordan is considered a highly respected and effective educator, clinician, and community advocate for youth, specifically with African American males. He believes building rapport and personal empowerment are the most effective concepts in producing scholars and emotionally grounded individuals within his career. He is very visible in the community as an active member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated, the Sigma Theta Lambda Chapter in Hinesville, Georgia, and a member of the 100 Black Men of Savannah. 


 Jordan is also the proud Founder and Executive Director of M.A.L.E. Dreamers Youth Development & Mentorship Incorporated, a 501(c)(3) male mentoring organization. A few of his accolades include; receiving a Proclamation from the City of Pooler and a Citation from the City of Savannah, both recognizing the work of his organization M.A.L.E. Dreamers and their contribution to the community, honors from various organizations in the community and becoming a recipient of the “Stride Award” from “Blessings in a Book Bag” organization under the leadership of Mahogany Bowers. 


One of Jordan’s favorite quotes is by John Maxwell: “Success is...knowing your purpose in life, growing to reach your maximum potential, and sowing seeds that benefit others.”
