Education: Balbo graduated from Duquesne University with degrees in Political Science and Classics. She later earned her Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of law. Balbo’s education included serving as an Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property Media and Entertainment Law Journal and working with the school’s Domestic Abuse Advocacy Group. She also worked for Federal Court District Judges Nicholas H. Politan and Faith S. Hochberg in Newark, New Jersey.
Biography: Christy Balbo, born and raised in Bayonne, New Jersey, relocated to Savannah with her husband, A.J., when the Army Judge Advocate Corp. transferred them to Fort Stewart. She practiced civil litigation in downtown Savannah and assisted the Third Infantry Division JAG at Hunter Army Airfield, earning the General’s Pot of Gold Award in 2004. Balbo then established her practice in Richmond Hill.
Her current practice focuses on real estate transactions, business law, and personal injury. She has also handled unique cases, including a Military Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Act Trial and a juvenile criminal case in federal court.
Memberships: Balbo teaches Real Estate Law, speaks on real estate and business, and belongs to several civic organizations.
